A shorter but more intense competition
Season 7 of the POP Esports Masters marks a new milestone in the evolution of the competition.
With a redesigned format, teams will start with online qualifiers before attempting to reach the finals, held live on the main stage of the POP Gaming Festival.
Three games, one ambition: claim the title on League of Legends, Valorant or Rocket League.

2022: The POP Esports Masters established themselves as the go-to reference for players in Luxembourg and the Greater Region. The level reached new heights and all matches were now broadcast and casted live on Twitch.
The Transition
2023: Despite continued success, the overall level, which kept rising, made access more demanding for new players. A realization emerged: the competition needed to evolve to become more accessible.
A New Era
2024: To reach a wider audience, a new 100% physical event was created: Mario Day. The championships also evolved with the creation of two divisions, allowing all skill levels to compete. The finals, held at Forum Geesseknäppchen, opened to the general public for the first time.
The Festival Beginnings
2025: Mario Day scaled up and moved to a more ambitious format. The finals became part of a larger gaming event: the PEM Gaming Festival, designed for players and families alike. The 3 major competitions LoL, Valorant and RL continued to attract many players. The season was a great success.
The POP Gaming Festival
2026: To meet the expectations of the public and players, the competition and festival will take on a whole new dimension this year with the POP Gaming Festival at LuxExpo The Box! The 3 championships are transformed into massive tournaments and the finals will take place on the main stage of the Festival!
